Apleona GVA monitors construction of premium office project The Cube in Berlin

Apleona GVA is assuming responsibility for project monitoring at The Cube office development in Berlin on behalf of TH Real Estate. The building, based on plans by Danish architects 3XN, has been under construction since the beginning of the year on a prime site directly opposite Berlin’s main station in the new Europacity district. The developer is CA Immo, which is carrying out the project for the European Cities Fund, managed by TH Real Estate. The European Cities Fund invests in profitable real estate in sustainable cities throughout Europe.

Apleona GVA had already provided consultancy services to TH Real Estate as the future owner of the project during the purchase phase. Apleona GVA will monitor implementation of the contractually agreed construction, technical and functional quality of the building together with Apleona Bauperformance until planned completion in 2019.

The Cube will be a cube-shaped building with glass facades and approximately 17,000 square meters of rental space. The rental space, divided across ten storeys, will offer flexibility and allow office concepts with an area of between 300 and 1,370 square meters on each level. As a smart building, the building will have intelligent building technology, which identifies and adapts to account users’ requirements and demands.

Daniel Winkler, Head of Planning, Development and Regeneration at Apleona GVA and responsible for the project: “The Cube is currently one of the most exciting office developments in the capital. After providing consultancy services to TH Real Estate during the purchase of the project, we are delighted to now be able to ensure that after completion our customer has a property that meets the highest aesthetic and technical standards.”
