- First properties to be equipped with self-learning technology starting now
- Recogizer reduces carbon footprint at Real I.S and supports ESG measures
Real I.S., a real estate asset manager based in Munich, is now using the artificial intelligence-based technology of Recogizer to leverage the green potential of their real estate. Recogizer automatically reduces carbon footprint and encourages energy savings. The office and commercial building "Mercedesplatz" in Berlin and the shopping center "Schlössle Galerie" in Pforzheim are the first properties in the Real I.S. portfolio to be equipped with the self-learning control system. Further properties are to follow.
Recogizer reduces the energy consumption of HVAC systems by up to 30 %, cuts carbon emissions and at the same time improves the indoor climate in buildings. Driven by demand and fully automated, the self-learning system controls existing building technology, predictively considering environmental conditions and usage parameters of buildings.
"Utilizing artificial intelligence enables us to meet the increasing demand for ESG-compliant properties and, in the same course, to fully exploit the innovative power of digitization," comments Dr. Pamela Hoerr, member of the Real I.S. AG Board of Management, adding, "With this cooperation, we increase the attractiveness of the properties and reduce ancillary costs for our tenants in the long term."
"The contribution of buildings plays an enormous role in achieving climate targets. Many companies in the real estate industry are very much aware of their responsibility and are actively searching for climate protection solutions. We are pleased to join Real I.S. on this journey. With our technology, we offer an attractive element for sustainable building operation," says Carsten Kreutze, Managing Director of Recogizer. “Previous projects show,” Carsten Kreutze continues, “that the necessary investments already paid off within the first year of operation due to the energy savings achieved. The positive effects on the sustainability of the building stock through CO2 reduction are not yet even taken into account here."
The Real I.S. Group is one of the leading German providers of real estate investments for private and institutional investors. It manages real estate worth around €10.3 billion in ten countries.
