Apleona Wolfferts Buys Building Services Provider Wölpper

Apleona Wolfferts Gebäudetechnik, Cologne, is growing through the acquisition of Wölpper, a company from Baden-Württemberg. The company, based in Kirchheim unter Teck, specializes in heating, cooling, air-conditioning, ventilation, and sanitary systems. Wölpper has 55 employees and serves SMEs and public sector clients, predominantly in the central Neckar region. The purchase will take effect on November 3, 2020. The seller is the Rehms Group. The parties have agreed to not disclose the purchase price.

According to Apleona Wolffert’s Managing Director and CEO Horst Kever, the acquisition is an ideal regional addition: “We are significantly strengthening our presence in southern Germany and we are now represented in eight major economic regions of Germany with efficient operational teams and our own locations in each region. The aim is to give Wölpper a functional and organizational home quickly and to keep developing it as a company.”

The real estate service provider Apleona, which specializes in integrated and hard services, uses Wolfferts, its own building services provider, as an important source of know-how and expertise for the management of its industrial and real estate customers’ properties. “Technical building equipment is essential for quality and cost efficiency, both in planning and construction, and in the management of properties,” explains Horst Kever.

Apleona CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg: “Apleona has a clear focus on technical expertise, especially in building technology. Apleona Wolfferts Gebäudetechnik, with its engineering and plant construction expertise, is part of this. This know-how allows us to provide our customers with effective support throughout the life cycle of their properties because building technology is of central importance when it comes to maintaining and increasing property value,” he comments on the acquisition of Wölpper. Furthermore, he sees opportunities for further acquisitions in the market in the near future, which could complement Apleona's service portfolio or regional coverage.

Apleona Wolfferts Gebäudetechnik is a specialist for building equipment that is sophisticated in terms of technology and planning. It has implemented projects including TÜV Rheinland in Cologne, the WILO Smart Factory, the headquarters of the Federal Intelligence Service in Berlin, and numerous production facilities for industrial customers such as Merck, CSL, and Boehringer. Current projects include the University of Mainz, new exhibition spaces for Koelnmesse, Beethovenhalle in Bonn, Berlin Palace, and a further production expansion for CSL in Marburg.
