Apleona to be comprehensive facility management partner for photonics group Jenoptik

Starting from 1 April 2018, Apleona HSG Facility Management will take on comprehensive facility management at 15 German locations of the photonics group Jenoptik for a period of four years. The two companies have now signed a corresponding contract for this purpose and have agreed not to disclose its volume.

In collaborating with Apleona HSG Facility Management, Jenoptik is counting on a central service provider with uniform quality and performance standards across all locations and a high level of transparency in its processes.

Apleona HSG Facility Management will act as a central facility management service provider with responsibility for all integrated Facility Management services at Jenoptik’s German locations, including technologically complex production locations and the corporate headquarters in Jena. The client is counting on Apleona HSG’s strong regional coverage.

Jenoptik is a globally operating photonics group consisting of the segments Optics & Life Science, Defense & Civil Systems and Mobility that manufactures products such as photodiodes, laser systems, optical measuring devices, traffic monitoring systems and optical sensors.

In addition to a range of infrastructure-related tasks (cleaning, security and reception services, archive management, etc.) within the group of companies, Apleona HSG Facility Management and other business units of Apleona will also take on property management services including rental contract management for Jenoptik companies and commercial management of company-owned properties. With its technical services, Apleona HSG Facility Management qualifies as a responsible partner that supports its customer’s core business. As well as operating all technical building systems, Apleona HSG Facility Management will also be responsible for the technical operation of laboratories and cleanrooms and for ensuring that these are available and properly supplied (e.g. with high-purity water and air). The two companies also intend to work together to further optimise the digitalisation of facility management at Jenoptik and thereby increase transparency in processes.
