Apleona GVA Real Estate Advisors wins State of Baden-Württemberg as tenant of the office building Am Wallgraben 100 in Stuttgart

On behalf of the owner, Apleona GVA Real Estate Advisors has concluded a lease agreement with Baden-Württemberg State Company for Property and Construction (Landesbetrieb Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg) for over 3,240 square meters of office and storage space in the office building Am Wallgraben 100 located in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.

The areas leased are on the second, fourth, and fifth floors of the office building and in future will be used by various departments of the Regional Councils (Regierungspräsidien) of Stuttgart, Freiburg, and Tübingen. The State Authority for Geology, Raw Materials and Mining, which is attached to the Freiburg Regional Council, has already moved into its 600 square meters of offices on the second floor. Once the conversion work has been completed in the areas leased, which is set for December of this year, the Economy and Infrastructure department as well as the department for Schools and Education and the Stuttgart field office of the Market Monitoring department will move in.

The increased space requirements of the Stuttgart Regional Council is the consequence of a field office having been integrated, and due to the additional personnel that has been hired for purposes of placing refugees in accommodations. With the new spaces further services are now located in the direct vicinity of the main building of the Regional Council in Ruppmannstrasse in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.

The building Am Wallgraben 100, comprising around 8,000 square meters of leasable area, was sold in the summer of this year by DG Anlage to a local, private investor. Apleona GVA Real Estate Advisors manages the property since 2005 and is responsible for leasing it out. With the new lease more than 90 percent of the space in the property are leased out.
