Hard Services for 189 Federal Employment Agency Properties

The German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BA), represented by the wholly owned subsidiary BA- Gebäude-, Bau- und Immobilienmanagement GmbH (BI), has commissioned Apleona to provide hard services for a portfolio of 189 properties with a total net room area of 1,530,000 m2. In addition to administrative buildings, advice centers, and job centers, the properties managed also include hotels and training institutions belonging to the agency. The buildings are located in northern and eastern Germany and in the Rhine-Ruhr region.

A corresponding agreement has been concluded, which is valid until December 31, 2024, with the option to extend for another year. Regular operations are already in progress. This comes after a Europe-wide call for tenders in which Apleona won three of the five lots put out to tender.

The services agreed upon include the maintenance, inspection, and repair of most technical building systems and facilities and a 24/7 on-call service for dealing with disruptions. As a real estate service provider with a strong technical focus, Apleona itself performs 85% of the services for its customer BA across the nationwide portfolio and all disciplines.
