Apleona Wins Tender for Hard Services at EnBW

  • Portfolio of 106 properties, including power plants, in Germany

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG has commissioned Apleona to provide hard services for a portfolio of 106 properties in Germany. In addition to the focus on administrative buildings, this also includes initial subsystems at the power plants. The majority of the properties managed are in Baden-Württemberg and in Trier, Hamburg, Berlin, and Erfurt. A corresponding service agreement with an overall term of up to eight years will begin on May 1, 2023. Apleona had previously won an EU-wide tender as the existing service provider for the now significantly larger portfolio with high requirements for the implementation of ESG criteria and climate neutrality.

Apleona CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg comments: “As one of the biggest energy companies in Germany with a clear focus on quality and sustainability, EnBW is aiming to become climate neutral by 2035. One key element here will be to reduce carbon emissions in its existing buildings. We are delighted that EnBW has placed its trust in Apleona’s technical expertise and experience with implementing energy optimization measures and will proactively support its ambitious climate goals as a service partner for building operation.”

In addition to the maintenance, inspection, and servicing of building technology, the services agreed upon in the contract entered into at the end of November last year include in particular energy management, which covers both real-time digital monitoring of consumption and specific reduction targets to be achieved each year.

Alongside an energy manager working exclusively for the EnBW portfolio, another 75 FM specialists at Apleona ensure a self delivery ratio of more than 70% across all trades and the portfolio.
