Siemens Austria has renewed its contract with Apleona for the performance of integrated facility management for a total of eleven locations in Austria ahead of schedule for an additional three years with effect from October 1, 2024. A corresponding service agreement was signed at the end of March with the option of a further two-year extension. The new contract is currently in the implementation phase.
Comprising office, production and logistics space in all nine Austrian federal states as well as Siemens Austria’s headquarters in Vienna, the portfolio under management covers total space of around 200,000 m². Apleona will perform all hard services (servicing and maintenance), energy management and locking system management, as well as infrastructural services such as commercial cleaning. It will carry out 70 percent of the work on the technical installations itself.
Innovation potential for energy optimization and CO2 reduction
Apleona and Siemens intend to work together on decarbonization solutions during the contract term. Apleona Austria CEO Thomas Winter: “Coming just two years after the complete carve-out of facility services by Siemens and the acquisition of Siemens Gebäudemanagement und Services GmbH by Apleona, we see the early contract renewal as a great vote of confidence and confirmation of the high-quality services we have delivered to date. We are delighted to have the opportunity to expand our service partnership and implement technical innovations such as AI in the management of HVAC systems for CO2 reduction during the new contract term.”
