Apleona relies on AI-based invoice management from Eucon

Apleona Real Estate Management is further digitalizing its entire invoice management. With the artificial intelligence (AI)-based software "Smartinvoice" from the company Eucon, the previously SAP-based invoice processing will be supplemented.

A corresponding contract was concluded with the proptech company Eucon from Münster (proptech stands for property technology, i.e. digital services for the real estate industry) at the end of 2020. Smartinvoice recognizes and classifies invoices and feeds them back into the ERP system (also a software for resource planning in the company) ready for account assignment. In this way, the approximately 65,000 invoices per year that are generated at all locations can be processed significantly faster, both in total and per document.

Dr. Ralf Lehmann, Managing Director of Apleona Real Estate Management, sees the introduction of Smartinvoice as a decisive step on the way to optimizing digital business processes, which also enable location-independent working under current circumstances. "Smartinvoice will not only contribute to the optimization of our internal processes, but will also increase our customer satisfaction by integrating our customers into the fully automated process. We deliberately chose Eucon as our digitization partner because we were absolutely convinced by the expertise it provided in the field of document-based data management," he explained in a press release.

Heike Gündling, Managing Director Real Estate at Eucon commented on the collaboration as follows: "I am very pleased that we were able to convince Apleona Real Estate Management, another well-known player in the real estate industry, of our solution. Digitization requires the courage to change and the willingness to completely rethink previous processes. This is an exciting journey, and one in which we are pleased to support Apleona Real Estate Management with our expertise."
