Apleona receives platinum rating for sustainability by Ecovadis

Apleona has again received an excellent rating for its sustainability performance from the international rating company Ecovadis. In the current assessment, Apleona has improved once again and has now received platinum – after gold previously.

Ecovadis is an independent and globally active rating agency that uses 21 individual indicators to assess the integration, documentation and quality of sustainable aspects of companies in supply chains. The CSR rating comprises well over 100 questions divided into four main topics: environment and energy, occupational safety and human rights, ethics (compliance) and sustainable procurement. These must be comprehensively supported with documents.

Apleona received 78 out of 100 points in the current overall rating and was honored with the platinum medal. For 2020, a total of 69 out of 100 points was achieved, which is also a very good gold medal. The current platinum certificate is valid until January 2022.

For Apleona COO Dr. Gert Riegel, such verifications also have a high economic significance for the pan-European service company: "Most large industrial companies are now increasingly moving towards only commissioning service providers, suppliers and subcontractors who are transparently assessed in terms of sustainability by independent rating companies such as Ecovadis on the basis of clearly comprehensible criteria."
