Apleona to Carry out Integrated Facility Management for Bombardier Transportation in Germany

  • Major five-year contract for all production facilities and offices in Germany

Bombardier Transportation, the rail division of the Bombardier Group, has commissioned Apleona to handle integrated facility management for all its locations in Germany. More specifically, there are seven production facilities and one office property that total almost one million square meters of space, including the headquarters in Berlin.

In addition to technical and infrastructural services for the buildings and technical building facilities, Apleona is to perform production-related services to enable Bombardier to focus on its core business. A corresponding service agreement has been signed for five years to the end of 2025. The parties have agreed not to disclose the volume of the contract.

This comes after a worldwide tender in which Apleona was able to secure the biggest lot, comprising properties in Germany. The mobilization phase is up and running, with regular operation for all locations set to begin in April.

Apleona CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg commented, “Bombardier is another major industry customer for which we carry out an extensive package of services in our core market and, like our other customers, it has confidence in Apleona’s service expertise in a technically highly sophisticated production environment.”

Michael Fohrer, Chairman of the German Management Board at Bombardier Transportation, said, “In Apleona, we have found a capable and experienced partner for integrated facility management at our German locations. We look forward to working together.”
