An award for the most innovative real estate idea

Philipp Rabsahl is the winner of the 2017 Property Manager Award in the “Student of the Year” category. The trophy was presented by Dr. Jochen Keysberg, CEO of the real estate services provider Apleona, a sponsoring partner for this category of the award. The award ceremony was held on 2 March as part an exclusive gala evening in Cologne.

Philipp Rabsahl studied business administration with a focus on construction and real estate at the Biberach University of Applied Sciences. He completed his Master’s program with an overall grade of 1.2. The topic of his thesis was “How Will We Live in the Future?”, which he supported with an empirical study prepared in collaboration with bulwiengesa. He has been active for many years now on various university committees as well as in the Munich project “Aktiv für Wohnungslose,” in which volunteers serve as contact persons and counselors for homeless people. He is currently a trainee at Patrizia Immobilien AG.

Under the motto “innovation required; innovations solicited,” enterprises and individuals active in the real estate industry were invited to submit outstanding innovations or to recommend potential candidates. The 2017 Property Manager Award was presented by the publishing firm Immobilien Manager Verlag in the following categories: Financing, Investment, Communications, Management, Sustainability, Project Development for Existing Building Stock, Project Development for New Construction, PropTech of the Year, Social Responsibility, Urban Development, Brokerage & Consulting, Student of the Year, Thinker of the Year as well as Lifetime Achievement.

Rudolf M. Bleser, Managing Director of Immobilien Manager Verlag in Cologne was keen to emphasise that “looking at the big picture, we see how rich the real industry really is – rich in dynamic enterprises and bold thinkers.” 

The award gala took place at the Dock.One event space at the Cologne-Mülheim river harbor. Roughly 430 guests celebrated along with the prize winners.
