Dr. Michael Lange to Be Chief Digital Officer of Apleona

Dr. Michael Lange has been appointed as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Apleona with effect from October 1, 2018. In this role, he will report directly to the CEO of the Apleona Group, Dr. Jochen Keysberg. Michael Lange, who has a doctorate in computer science in construction, will be responsible for the Apleona Group’s digitalization initiatives together with Apleona’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) Bernhard Götze. This particularly includes the development and implementation of digital solutions to improve the management and use of buildings and facilities in terms of efficiency and user friendliness.

The 43-year-old engineering graduate will contribute his many years of expertise in real estate services business in the field of corporate strategy and as a key account manager for major international customers of Apleona, while Bernhard Götze (52), who has had overall responsibility for the Group’s IT since September 2017, will be in charge of technical development, the IT strategy, and the implementation of digital solutions. Dr. Michael Lange has already supported the development collaboration between Apleona and IBM specialists at the Watson IoT Center in Munich that has been under way since May this year. He will continue in his previous role as commercial director for one of Apleona’s largest accounts as well as the fulfilling the role of CDO.

“Our two digitalization experts Dr. Michael Lange and Bernhard Götze will step up the implementation of simple and tangible digital solutions with a clear value proposition for our customers together with market-leading IT companies, especially IBM but also potential partners from the proptech scene. The focus will be on the speed and scalability of such solutions, so that they can be rolled out to a broad customer base,” says CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg, outlining the strategic direction of Apleona’s current digitalization campaign.

Apleona will present the first specific solutions in different development approaches together with its development partner IBM at this year’s Expo Real trade show in Munich from October 8 to 10.
