• Technical, commercial, and infrastructure services from a single source for downtown development areas

On behalf of the finance department of the canton of Basel-Stadt, Apleona HSG Facility Management is taking on technical, infrastructure, and commercial facility management services at the Rosental Areal in Basel in Switzerland on July 1. This involves the operation, maintenance, and repair of the technical facilities in the 15 office buildings and communal areas of the Rosental Areal as well as reception and on-call services, energy controlling services, security, cleaning, and taking care of green spaces. Apleona is also responsible for viewings of rental areas, correspondence with tenants and service providers, and for budgeting building maintenance costs. The service agreement will run for four years with the option of up to four one-year extensions.

The Rosental Areal, which is located near the trade show grounds in Basel, was acquired by the client Immobilien Basel-Stadt in 2016. In the years ahead, the Rosental Areal is to be developed into an integral district and attractive business location for international companies and research institutes. For this purpose, a gradual opening up of the Rosental Areal, which is currently enclosed, is planned as is densification and the construction of new areas for residential use and service offerings. The tenants at the Rosental Areal include international companies and institutions from research and development and the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
