Siemens Headquarters, Munich
Best Practice / Interior Fitout / Sustainable construction
The Siemens Group headquarters is oriented towards the highest construction standards for sustainability in the world and with its new headquarters has created a modern, light working environment for around 1,200 employees. A showcase project for pioneering, innovative construction.
Though it is hard to believe looking from below, the huge glass front covers 16,000m2, the size of four soccer pitches. The effect of the light and transparency of the five inner courtyards is incredible thanks to the slightly inclined glass facades, which open upwards.
The new area near Wittelsbacherplatz in Munich offers local residents and tourists a new footpath between Munich’s city center and the museum district. The passage is friendly, inviting and open.
