Technical partner to DB Fernverkehr in Munich

Best Practice / Facility Management

DB Fernverkehr AG has commissioned Apleona HSG to carry out complete facility management (with the exception of cleaning) at the rail operations plant in Munich’s main railway station. At the rail operations plant in Munich, Deutsche Bahn carries out the maintenance, provision and cleaning of long-distance trains, regional trains and locomotives.

As part of the cooperation, Apleona HSG works in close coordination with the core processes at DB Fernverkehr. In this regard, the service provider is responsible not only for traditional facility management services, but also for the entire technical periphery in the rail operations plant. In addition to technical building systems, this also includes equipment needed to maintain the trains, such as technical systems to lift entire ICE trains, to clean the outsides of the trains and to de-ice them as well as machines to replace complete bogies on the trains.

Apleona HSG not only works in line with the strict quality requirements of Deutsche Bahn, but also delivers its services around the clock, 365 days a year in clearly-defined timeframes. Every train that rolls in for maintenance must return to regular rail operations in accordance with a precisely defined schedule.
